This week’s episode is with Peter Dostis, CEO of Runway Geelong, an accelerator and incubator program that launched this year helping startups succeed locally and globally. A big picture kind of guy, Peter has extensive experience in the corporate sector including retail, manufacturing, ICT and agriculture and is now at the helm of Runway Geelong where he’s here to talk about the startup community in general, how accelerators help startups, why the education system should incorporate entrepreurship into schools and why driving a startup ecosystem in the region is so important to Geelong and Australia. He has a passion for helping young people and the disadvantaged which struck a real chord with me. He mentions Georgia Beattie’s great idea for wine who is now CEO of Startup Vic and a new startup, EcoKit, one of Runway’s baby’s, already kicking goals.

Peter’s big on following your dreams, starting your own gig and he’s creating a fresh ecosystem that will put Geelong on the map as one of the most creative start up cities globally – if you are interested in learning more, and have a start up idea and want to work on it, he’s interested in you. So give him and call, and have a listen, it also might help you hone that idea of yours. If you want to contact Peter you can reach him through the Runway Geelong website.
